SBIS: Behavior Contracts

As a result of behavioral challenges, some students may benefit from the development of a structured plan to foster and support success in the educational setting. A behavior contract is a written document agreement between a staff member(s), student, and possibly the parent(s) which specifies behavioral goal setting in clear, observable terms. Behavior contracts are a practical and creative way for teachers, staff, and parents to assist students of all ages to improve skills in various areas.
