The El Dorado County Charter Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) provides its LEAs with governance support to ensure effective management and accountability in special education programs. Each LEA is responsible for participating in the governance structure of the Charter SELPA which determines decisions on Policy and Administrative Regulations, the Allocation Plan, and the Local Plan.

CEO Council
The Charter SELPA CEO Council is comprised of CEOs who represent LEAs within the El Dorado County Charter SELPA. As part of the mutual partnership between the Charter SELPA and LEAs, CEOs have the responsibility to vote on matters that may impact the direction of the Charter SELPA.

Current Meeting Calendar
The Charter SELPA CEO Council meets twice a year to discuss changes and improvements to the SELPA’s Local Plan and improvements to the funding structure. During these meetings, the CEO Council votes to approve or decline recommendations from the Charter SELPA Executive Committee. The CEO Council meetings are public and must adhere to guidelines set by the Brown Act, guaranteeing the public’s right to attend and participate in meetings of the local legislative body.

Executive Committee
The Charter SELPA Executive Committee is a consortium of leaders from our member Local Education Agencies (LEAs) within the Charter SELPA. This committee meets at least four times annually and collaborates on developing recommendations for the CEO Council. The committee provides important input on policy issues and the Allocation Plan, along with contributing to future Charter SELPA planning.
Meetings will be held via the Zoom web-conferencing platform. Participants are able to listen/participate in the meeting. No special equipment is required – just a computer with audio capability and an internet connection. Log-in information to participate, along with the meeting agenda and supporting documents, will be made available one week prior to each meeting. Registration information will be sent via email.
