Strategic Behavioral Intervention Series: Self-Monitoring

Empowering students to recognize, understand, and manage their emotional and behavioral reactions is essential to meaningful behavioral change. Self-monitoring is an evidence-based behavioral intervention which equips students in recognizing and appropriately adjusting their reactions through a process of self-observation and recording of skills. For older students, doing so also provides tools necessary for success beyond the educational setting and extends into college, community and the workplace.
