Center on Transition (NTACT)


Provides evidence and research based practices for providing quality transition related lessons. On this site you’ll find resources on content such as lesson plans, competitive integrated employment and transition assessments.

Transition Coalition


Provides educators with training modules, study guides, webinars and assessment guides on how to support students with disabilities through the postsecondary transition process.

Guideposts for Success



This tool is to support administrators and educators in making decisions regarding funding, in setting and establishing local priorities related to transitioning youth, and in evaluating the work of agencies supported by that funding.

California Transition Alliance


Provides information, tools and resources that can be shared with teachers, parents, educators, and transition partners at the California Department of Rehabilitation and the Department of Developmental Services.

Developmental Services


DDS is responsible for overseeing the coordination and delivery of services and supports to those with developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, autism, epilepsy and related conditions.

Think College


Think College is for families considering college for a student with an intellectual disability. Information and links regarding preparation, application, availability, financial aid, housing, etc.

Going to College


Going to College provides information about living college life with a disability. It’s designed for high school students and provides video clips, activities and additional resources that can help you get a head start in planning for college.

CA Chancellor’s Office for Community College


CA Community College Disabled Student Programs and Services provides support services to students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, psychological disabilities, developmental delay, brain injury, visual impairments, health problems and hearing impairments.

National Center on Secondary Education and Transition


NCSET coordinated national resources, offer technical assistance, and disseminate information related to secondary education and transition for youth with disabilities in order to create opportunities for youth to achieve successful futures.

Learning Ally


Learning Ally is dedicated to helping students with print disabilities, including blindness, visual impairment and dyslexia. Learning Ally improves the way students learn at home and in the classroom.



BookShare is an on-line digital library of accessible images for students with print disabilities such as visual impairments, physical disabilities and learning disabilities. K-12 and Post-secondary books are available in audio, braille ready formats and large print.

ABILITY Jobs is the first and largest employment website for job seekers with disabilities. Since 1995, we have provided a place where people with disabilities can seek employment, confident they will be evaluated solely on their skills and experience.

CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR)


The California DOR administers the largest vocational rehabilitation program in the country. DOR has a three-pronged mission to provide services and advocacy that assist people with disabilities to live independently, become employed and have equality in the communities in which they live and work. DOR provides consultation, counseling and vocational rehabilitation, and works with community partners to assist the consumers they serve.

National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability (NCWD)


NCWD is a resource for youth, families and educators on employment, workplace development and training.
